MID-JOURNEY (OUR BODIES ARE UNITED)

"Mid-journey our bodies are united" is a montage of collected audio and video recordings from transport ; approaching the dreamy state of collective bodies in transition. By traveling together with strangers we share the ambiguous spaces of capsules in movement or waiting zones such as train stations. Temporarily, we are silently connected despite our background or destination. A collaboration with composer Vigdisje Verhees (RU/DK) where music and moving image is considered of equal importance. The collaboration begun during the covid pandemic and was made entirely with physical distance (RU/DE) to each other due to closed borders. The material is collected from a range of different countries, aimed to blur the sensation of political borders.
